VERSIÓN EN ESPAÑOL

1. La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra calls and organizes the VI Opera Studio to be held from July 29 to August 4, 2024 in El Viso del Marqués (Ciudad Real, Spain). It will be within the XVI Season of the La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cultural Week of this town.
2. The opera subject of study and performance will be “Carmen” by G. Bizet.
3. The main objective of our Opera Studio is to perform G. Bizet’s “Carmen” by chosen Active singers. This performance will take place on August 4, at place “Palacio del Marqués de Santa Cruz” in El Viso del Marqués, with La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra. 4. A teaching staff comprised by a repetiteur, stage manager and music director, as well as La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra will be in charge of managing the Opera Studio.
5. The Opera Studio is completely free, with the selected singers only having to cover the costs of accommodation and food. These expenses are €400 (7 days accommodation in a single room and full board). Accommodation and food will be at the “Valle de los Perales” Rural House. • Opera Studio runs from July 29 to August 4, 2024 in El Viso del Marqués (C. Real, Spain) and It will be within the XVI Season of the La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cultural Week of this town.

• The opera will be performed live on stage on August 4, 2024 with orchestra.

The rehearsals will take place both at the “Valle de los Perales” Rural House and at the “Palacio del Marqués de Santa Cruz”.

Participation in Opera Studio is open to all singers from any nationality; no limit of age is required.

There is two ways to select singers:

WAY 1:

Please, attach your Curriculum Vitae and a recording, with orchestra or piano accompaniment, singing any aria quoted below (see Arias for casting). PLEASE, DO NOT FORGET TO MENTION THE ROLE YOU WOULD LIKE TO PERFORM IN THE OPERA.

The deadline to send your recordings and C.V´s begins March 15 and June 15, 2024 (Both included).

WAY 2:

• LIVE AUDITION on June 21, 2024 (friday) in Madrid (Place to be determined that will be communicated in a timely manner). Necesita tener JavaScript habilitado para poder verlo. to TELL US THE ROLL YOU WOULD LIKE TO PERFORM and YOUR PURPOSE TO GO to the audition. You must SEND YOUR C.V. too. You have to sing any aria quoted below (see Arias for casting). Opera Studio crew provides a pianist to play with the singer in the audition.

The deadline to send your email with your request to participate in the live audition and send your C.V´s begins March 15 and ends June 15, 2023.

• On June 14, 2024 will be posted on La Mancha Philarmonic orchestra website www.orquestafilarmonicadelamancha.es the schedules of live audition.
• On June 28, 2023 a roster of selected singers, will be posted on La Mancha Philharmonic Orchestra website www.orquestafilarmonicadelamancha.es. In addition, they will receive an email notification of their selection. A waiting list with potential substitutes will also be prepared.
• In order to confirm the participation in the Opera Studio, selected singers must send an email to Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam.
