CONDUCTING WORKSHOP 2026
DIFFERENT MUSICAL GENRES and LEVELS

1. general information
- The OFMAN, Orquesta Filarmónica de La Mancha presents their Musical Conducting Workshop 2026. This distinct workshop will offer different musical genres where the conductors will be able to choose a level according to their knowledge and experience in conducting.
- The Workshop will offer four musical genres:
- Chamber Music (String Orchestra)
- Opera/Zarzuela (Spanish Opera)
- Oratorio
- Symphonic Repertoire
- All the genres will be offered in three levels:
- Elementary
- Intermediate
- Advanced
- A suitable repertoire will be available for each level. See the repertoire below.
- Besides the orchestra, the workshop will count with the participation of a choir and soloists for the repertoire that requires it.
- The workshop will allow up to 15 active participants and up to 30 auditors. Active conductors will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Auditors will be able to attend to all the classes and practices of the course.
- Registration will be open from February 25th through June 20th..
- There will be a Final concert on Saturday, July 4th. All the active participants will be conducting.
- This workshop will be led by the Spanish Maestro Francisco-Antonio Moya, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Orquesta Filarmónica de La Mancha, Musical Director of Producciones Telón and Professor of conducting at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid.
2. LOCATION
The workshop will be held at the Concert Hall of Old Casino in Ciudad Real, Spain. (Caballeros Street, 3).
3. DATES
From July 1st through July 4th, 2026.
4. Podium Time AND RECORDINGS
- Each active conductor will have 100 minutes of Podium Time during the sessions at the workshop. These will be distributed by 30 minutes with Piano and 70 minutes with the Orchestra and soloists (when is it necessary).
- All sessions with the Orchestra and soloists including the Final Concert, will be recorded. This material will be available to the Conductors.

6. PLAN FOR THE WEEK
- Classes on Wednesday, July 1st will be devoted to the course repertoire with piano.
- Thursday, July 2nd (morning) will be devoted to String Orchestra repertoire.
- Thursday, July 2nd (afternoon) will be devoted to Oratorio repertoire.
- Friday, July 3rd (morning) will be devoted to Opera/Zarzuela repertoire.
- Friday, July 3rd (afternoon) will be devoted to Symphonic repertoire.
- After the practical classes with orchestra, a discussion session will be held in which active students will receive constructive and enriching feedback from both their classmates and the professor regarding their performance in the orchestral sessions.
- Due to time constraints, it will be advisable to focus on movements and/or excerpts from works—as indicated in the REPERTOIRE section—rather than complete works.
- On Thursday, July 2nd and Friday, July 3rd, there will be a technique class prior to the practical sessions.

Clarification about the repertoire: Each active conductor will determinate the level they want to work on, and will conduct the preposed repertoire accordingly. However, he/she may also choose to conduct one or more works of different levels, if he/she deems it appropriate.
At the beginning of the course, students will be given a notebook containing all the repertoire selected by the students.
8. FEES
- Active Participant: 680 €
- Auditor Participant: 130 €
9. REGISTRATION
TO ENROLL IN THE WORKSHOP FOLLOW THE FOLLOWING STEPS
- Fill out the registration form below.
- The course organization will contact you to confirm that there are available places in the requested modality.
- If the requested modality is Active Student and places are available, make an initial payment of €200 as a reservation. Then, make a second payment of €480 before June 20th.
- If you apply for the Auditing Student modality, you only need to make a single payment of €130 before June 20th.
